This aloha shirt is boldly decorated with Katsushika Hokusai's popular masterpiece "The Great Wave off Kanagawa." It is very popular as a souvenir from Japan and as a present for people overseas. Combined with a Qinghai wave pattern inspired by Hokusai Blue this is a sophisticated Japanese-style aloha shirt.The fabric is high quality chirimen from the Kyotango region which is also used for kimonos. We use so-called B fabric which has slight scratches during manufacturing but this does not affect the wearability. The printing process is carried out with great care at our workshop in Kamezawa Sumida Ward the birthplace of Hokusai. Please enjoy this sustainable piece that we can confidently recommend as the fabric printing and tailoring are all made in Japan.
